Badin faces rival in 'Kick for a Cause' game
HAMILTON — The battle against cancer continues, and the Badin High School girls’ soccer team will carry on the fight Saturday afternoon, Oct. 8, in a “Kicks for a Cause” game against Edgewood at Fairfield Soccer Stadium. Varsity kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. “This effort was a big success last year, and the girls wanted to follow up again this year,’’ said BHS head coach Steve Tabar. “We’re honored to do what we can to make a difference in the ongoing fight against cancer.” Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Badin players have unveiled a charcoal gray shirt with orange lettering for the occasion. There will be numerous fundraising opportunities, including 50 raffle baskets, a beautiful Badin quilt, and a signed Anita Goldberg print.
